A group of teachers of kindergarten and primary School of Mantua together with Sportmeet for a training course on Sports4Peace.
The Project of Sports4Peace, sponsored by Sportmeet, is now being implemented in various parts of the world and has received many awards until the presentation at the UN. In this year in which Mantua is “European City of Sport”, the teachers of “Peace we Like” have decided to use, test and valorize the profound pedagogical and educational values of Sports4Peace.
The initiative was also presented to the Department of Sport of Mantua Municipality, which shared it, highlighting his importance for the lack, among the many sporting initiatives promoted in this year, of a project focused on the educational aspect, especially towards the new generations.
The course, held by Lorenzo Breno, sports coach, was developed from the rules inscribed in the six faces of the dice, “The project aims to form the individual so that he manages to create relationships that go from ‘I’ to ‘you’ to ‘us’. An integral sporting practice that not only focuses on technique and athletics but also on the development of identity and the ability to keep in mind the other, be it partner or adversary.
The course has closed with the enthusiasm to continue together with the preparation of the V day of Peace, to be held in Mantua on May 13, the final day of “Peace we Like”.
